갈망 (Longing)

쏟아지는 순수함의 파편들 속에 몸을 맡긴 채,
더 이상 돌아갈 수 없는 무구한 상태를 그리워하는
어른이 된 우리의 자화상이다.
화면을 채운 흰 꽃잎들은 시간의 흐름 속에 파편화된 동심의 조각들이며,
그 위에 위태롭게 누워있는 형상은
순수함을 향한 간절한 갈망을 상징한다.
이는 상실을 경험한 어른의 시선으로 바라본
가장 순수했던 시절에 대한 향수이자,
흐릿해진 기억의 층위 사이에서
변하지 않는 가치를 붙잡으려는 쓸쓸하지만 숭고한 몸짓이다.

Surrendering the self to fragments of pouring purity,
this work is a reflection of our adult selves,
yearning for a pristine state of innocence
to which we can no longer return.
The white petals filling the canvas
represent pieces of childhood
fragmented by the passage of time,
while the figure lying precariously upon them
symbolizes an ardent longing for purity.
It is a nostalgia for the most innocent era of life,
seen through the eyes of an adult who has experienced loss—
a melancholy yet sublime gesture
of attempting to grasp an unchanging value
amidst the blurred layers of memory.
