잃어버린 날개 (The Lost Wing)

망망대해 위에 위태롭게 놓인 종이배는
금방이라도 찢어져 가라앉을 것 같은 극심한 불안과,
어디로 갈지 모르는 숙명적 방황을 상징한다.
날개 한쪽을 잃어버린 채 부유하는 형상은 외부의 시선과
차별에 의해 파편화된 자아의 모습이다.
연약한 종이배를 에워싼 정체불명의 흰 손들은
이를 언제든 깊은 수렁으로 끌어내릴 것 같은 공포와, 당시의 불안함을 시각화한다.
수면 위에 아슬아슬하게 머무는 종이배는,
거친 시대의 흐름 속에서 침몰에 대한 공포에 시달리는 존재의 불안과 상처를 투영한다.

The paper boat, precarious upon the vast, boundless ocean,
symbolizes an extreme internal anxiety, as if it might tear and sink at any moment,
and the fatal wandering of a self that knows not where it is headed.
The floating figure, with one wing lost, represents a self fragmented
by external gazes and discrimination.
The mysterious white hands surrounding
the fragile paper boat visualize the terror
that they might drag it down into the deep depths at any moment,
and the intense anxiety of that time.
The paper boat lingering on the water projects the anxiety
and wounds of an existence perpetually haunted
by the fear of sinking amidst the harsh currents of the era.
