한옥 I: 선언 (Hanok I: Declaration)

본 작업은 스스로의 뿌리를 천명하는 의지적 ‘선언’이다.
사실적인 현대 풍경 속에 한국의 고전 풍속화 속 인물과 흰색 낙서(Graffiti)를 병치하여,
입체와 평면 사이의 경계를 가로지른다.
이러한 이질적 결합은 외부의 규정에서 벗어나
스스로의 정체성을 동시대적 맥락 위에 세우는 과정의 시각화이다.

This work is a 'declaration' of one's roots.
By juxtaposing figures from classical Korean genre paintings
and white graffiti within a realistic modern landscape,
the piece traverses the boundary between depth and flatness.
This union of heterogeneous elements visualizes the process of establishing identity
within a contemporary context, free from external definitions.
